Description: Associate ships and receives goods for the company. Always follows NCC forklift rules.

Requirements: Previous manufacturing shipping & receiving experience preferred. Associate should be able to use bar code readers, computer terminals, or other electronic devices.

• Timely loading/unloading of trucks
• Uses 3-Step Process consistently
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness especially with ship lists; assure quantity always matches paperwork
• Accurate completion of required paperwork at time of shipment or receipt of merchandise
• Review of merchandise prior to packaging to ensure quality, quantity, and properly labeled
• Loads trucks to make sure product arrives as it left company to the destination
• Secure loads with straps & load bars ensuring protection of merchandise to prevent freight damage
• Accurately receive, verify, and inventory incoming shipments of merchandise or other raw materials
• Understands how to do scan shipping or receiving in conjunction with the computer
• Fill out and package small shipments for UPS & FedEx including processing paperwork, packing slip and labels
• Use forklift to move merchandise safely
• Communicate with the Less than Truckload (LTL) drivers on paperwork and Pro numbers
• Make sure receiving and shipping inspections are being completed and labeled appropriately
• Assist with inventory of merchandise and raw materials
• Troubleshoots and communicates problems with products, components, tools and overall quality of product being loaded
• Be able to call in trucks with ready times and total amount of space when needed
• Moderate product knowledge (i.e. learn product by model number, which components are required to make complete units, how different products are to be packaged and secured, pulls correct blueprint, etc.)
