Service Repair Associate

National Cart Company is hiring a Service Repair Associate for our new location in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

The Service Repair Associate uses safe procedures while driving a company owned van to customer's locations to repair/service industrial metal carts, cart corrals, and equipment as needed.

Requirements:

• Clear driving record.  Class B CDL preferred.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Extensive experience with hand tools.
• Experience troubleshooting and problem solving mechanical equipment.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice if needed.
• Basic welding skills.

Daily Tasks:

• Calls customers to set up appointments and coordinate service while on customer's site.
• Identifies company products, troubleshoots issues and executes repairs.
• Repairs carts by removing and replacing wheels and caster assemblies.
• Removes or replaces cart handles.
• Sets up and operates welding equipment safety and productively.
• Welds quality repairs of steel carts while in field. Cleans any smoke or spatter.  Adjusts welder as needed to maintain part quality.
• Spray paints.
• Responsible for supplying safe products to customer after repairs are complete.
• Responsible for communicating a list of replacements parts used to supervisor.
• Train other associates to assist in service work as required.
