Field Service Cart Repair Technician

National Cart Company is currently experience rapid growth. We are looking for a candidate who can assist our repair team on local and long distance repair jobs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Driving record with no traffic violations.
• Class B License is preferred.
• Strong communication skills required.
• A neat appearance is required.
• Hand welding experience required.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice and work extended hours.

Responsibilities:

• Contacts customers to schedule appointments considering customer expectations and weather conditions.
• Repairs carts at customer locations including removing and replacing wheels and caster assemblies and straightening bent wires.
• Removes and replaces handles, replaces missing wires, steel rods or tubing by cutting to size and welding in place.
• Bends cart frames as required to straighten carts.
• Steam cleans shopping carts and bakery racks.
• Installs cart corrals.

• Balances, stoops, kneels, crouches and reaches to work overhead.
• Exerts up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
• Walks or stands for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks.
• Pushes and pulls materials.
• Fingers and grasps parts of components.
• Has close visual acuity to perform inspections and operate machines.
• Tolerates extremes in temperature.
• Extensive uses power/hand tools.
• Perform visual inspections.
