2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician

Description

• Repair and preventative maintenance of plant machinery, equipment and facilities including physical structures, piping, mechanical and electrical systems as required

• Setup, start and operate machinery to test their performance

• Adjust machinery as needed to maintain peak performance

• Use of tooling, hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments to maintain equipment and facilities in good working order

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment

• Listen for unusual sounds, and communicate with supervisors and associates to detect and diagnose malfunctions

• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.

• Preventative maintenance of machine tooling, hand tools and machinery to maintain in good working order

• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment including 480/277 Volt Power Systems (WYE) & 208/120 Volt Power Systems (WYE)

• Layout, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.

• Make and repair counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structures. Repair and maintain physical structure of facility

• Install, program and repair automated machinery and equipment, including robots and programmable controllers.

• Setup and operate machine tools, including grinders, milling machines to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.

• Operate welding equipment to join metal parts used to repair or fabricate equipment.

   

  Requirements

• Specialized training through trade school (1-year certificate or degree).

• Ability to read electrical schematics

• Understands and able to configure PLC Operation and Programming

• 5 Years experience in manufacturing industrial maintenance preferred

• Experience in leadership role preferred.
